Allahbadia is facing multiple FIRs over alleged offensive remarks made during an episode of India’s Got Latent. In response, Chandrachud has petitioned the Supreme Court, seeking to quash the charges and ensure legal protection for his client.

The case has gained urgency as the Assam Police have summoned Allahbadia for questioning. In a plea before a Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar, Chandrachud pressed for an expedited hearing. The court acknowledged his request and assured that the case would be listed within the next two to three days.

Allahbadia is facing legal action under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, which deals with offenses related to insulting a woman’s modesty through words, gestures, sounds, or objects. Additional charges include intrusion of privacy, further intensifying the legal battle.
