From Fragmentation to Flow: How TrucksUp Is Redefining India’s Trucking Economy

Traditionally, the trucking industry relies on manual coordination, limited visibility, resulting in empty returning trips, delayed payments, low asset utilization, and operational losses for fleet owners and drivers. In the early days, the focus was on understanding the pain points of both shippers and transporters, ranging from limited transparency to the ongoing struggle to secure reliable capacity. Despite being one of the largest contributors to the economy, road freight has long operated without the digital backbone it needs.

This gap is exactly where TrucksUp steps in.

Founded in April 2024, TrucksUp was built on real, on-ground experiences of a highly fragmented logistics ecosystem. Sarthak Elwadhi, co-founder, built a platform for standardization, transparency, and smart technology integration into logistics that was tailored to Indian needs, empowering stakeholders, improving driver experiences, and unlocking greater value for the entire supply chain.

A Problem Hidden in Plain Sight

For years, most logistics solutions have focused on helping large enterprises move goods efficiently from one point to another. Individual truck owners—many operating a single vehicle—were rarely part of the conversation. While industry forums discussed scale and speed, the basic needs of these operators remained unaddressed.

In contrast, global trucking markets operate with structured processes, real-time visibility, and strong driver support systems. India’s trucking sector, however, continues to struggle with limited digital adoption, inconsistent practices, and a lack of centralised information. These gaps lead to inefficiencies such as empty runs, delayed deliveries, unpredictable income, and growing stress for drivers.

With a background in logistics, co-founder Sarthak Elwadhi recognised that solving these issues required more than technology—it required empathy and presence. He spent time at dhabas, transport hubs, toll plazas, and loading points, listening to truck owners describe their daily struggles. These insights shaped TrucksUp’s approach: build solutions that are simple, trustworthy, and designed for real-world use.

Earning Trust Before Scaling Technology

Introducing technology into a traditionally offline industry was never going to be easy. Many small fleet owners were hesitant to adopt digital platforms, unsure whether they would deliver real value. This challenge was addressed by TrucksUp by focusing on personal interactions and clear communication over aggressive technology adoption.

The platform focuses on practical problems rather than complex features and was designed to be easy to use. In addition to hands-on onboarding support, fintech and fuel-related assistance ensures truck owners feel supported throughout their journey. Trust organically grew as users saw tangible improvements in operations and earnings, resulting in word-of-mouth adoption.

Subscription-based offerings such as TrucksHub, along with features like Safety 360 and My Truck Is Here, supported by round-the-clock customer assistance, further strengthened reliability and long-term engagement.

Built for Truck Owners, Not Just Loads

What truly sets TrucksUp apart is its focus on truck owners as core stakeholders in the logistics ecosystem. Unlike many platforms that prioritise shippers or large fleet operators, TrucksUp empowers individual truck owners as independent entrepreneurs.

The platform provides access to verified freight opportunities without relying on intermediaries. Transparent pricing, real-time data, and digital contracting allow truck owners to make informed decisions that improve asset utilisation and earnings. Every feature is designed to give operators greater control over their businesses.

Beyond freight discovery, TrucksUp offers a complete support ecosystem—fuel management, maintenance, insurance, FASTag services, and compliance assistance. By simplifying documentation, payments, and trip management, the platform allows truck owners to focus on growth rather than operational complexity.

Early Momentum That Reflects Real Change

In under two years, TrucksUp has built strong traction across the country. More than 1 crore users have engaged with the platform to find and post loads. Over 4.5 lakh vehicle owners are registered, with 5 lakh+ vehicles verified across 14,000+ pincodes. The ecosystem includes 80,000+ registered shippers and business associates and supports over 3 lakh preferred routes to reduce empty miles.

Financially, the platform has generated over ₹6 crore in subscription revenue, collected ₹6 crore+ in insurance premiums, and processed ₹5 crore+ in FASTag transactions. In Q2 FY26 alone, load postings grew by over 21%, with nearly 2 lakh loads listed, while overall income increased 28% quarter-on-quarter.

Backed by ₹20 crore in initial funding from investors with decades of logistics experience, TrucksUp benefits from both capital and deep industry insight.

Driving the Future of Indian Trucking

Looking ahead, TrucksUp aims to bring AI-powered route optimisation, real-time tracking, predictive analytics, and higher asset utilisation to every truck on Indian roads. The long-term vision is to create a single platform where users can discover freight, access competitive value-added services, buy and sell trucks, and operate their businesses with transparency and confidence.

As the platform expands across India’s major industrial corridors—and eventually into other fragmented markets—TrucksUp is working to remove geographical barriers and build a globally scalable logistics model. The goal is clear: make trucking more efficient, more equitable, and more sustainable—one truck, one owner, and one journey at a time.
