Pune Hosts Grand Finale of Lokmat MahaGames, Celebrating Young Champions
The state-level finale of Lokmat MahaGames brought together talented school athletes from across Maharashtra for a prestigious award ceremony in Pune. Olympic medalist and Padma Bhushan recipient Saina Nehwal led the celebrations by presenting medals to winners who excelled in multiple sports disciplines.
An initiative of Lokmat Campus Club and presented by the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, Lokmat MahaGames has become a significant platform for discovering young sports talent and promoting a culture of fitness and discipline among students. The competition spanned 12 regions and concluded with state-level matches in Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The ceremony was attended by senior leaders from Lokmat Media Group and the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, with RJ Mantra hosting the event and facilitating discussions with dignitaries.
Saina Nehwal interacted closely with students, offering guidance, encouragement and inspiration through personal engagement, while speakers highlighted the importance of structured sports opportunities for children.
The initiative continues to strengthen its role in shaping Maharashtra’s future athletes.
