Mumbai, India – June 11, 2025 – In an unprecedented move that mirrors the grassroots democracy of its fictional village, Panchayat Season 4 will now premiere a week earlier than planned, on June 24, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video, thanks to an innovative fan-driven campaign. The Viral Fever (TVF) and Prime Video’s “Vote for Date Change” initiative, which tapped into the show’s election-themed narrative, empowered fans to unlock an earlier release, marking a new milestone in interactive storytelling for Indian OTT platforms.

Panchayat, the beloved comedy-drama set in the fictional Uttar Pradesh village of Phalera, has won hearts since its debut in 2020 with its authentic portrayal of rural life, sharp humor, and relatable characters. Initially slated for a July 2, 2025, release, Season 4’s premiere was accelerated following a groundbreaking marketing campaign launched on June 1. Titled “Vote for Date Change,” the campaign invited fans to visit www.panchayatvoting.com and cast their votes for either Team Manju Devi (Nena Gupta) or Team Kranti Devi (Sunita Raj war), mimicking the show’s central plot of a heated panchayat election.

The campaign, which ran until June 10, turned fans into virtual villagers, with a live meter tracking votes in real time. Promotional videos featured the show’s iconic characters, including Sachi Ji (Jitendra Kumar), Pradhan Ji (Raghu Bir Yadav), and Vikas (Chandan Roy), delivering hilarious manifestos. Manju Devi promised “airbag-fitted bicycles” and a “four-lane road” for Phalera, while Kranti Devi countered with a whimsical pledge to build a “village runway for auto-rickshaws.” The campaign’s tongue-in-cheek tone, complete with rap battles and social media showdowns, resonated deeply with fans, who flooded platforms like X with hashtags #TeamManjuDevi and #TeamKrantiDevi.

A source close to TVF revealed to India Today that the overwhelming response to the campaign—coupled with the buzz following the Season 4 teaser release on May 3—prompted the makers to honor the fans’ demand for an earlier premiere. “The voting campaign was designed to reflect Panchayat’s core theme of community-driven decisions,” the source said. “Fans showed up in droves, and we’re thrilled to bring Phalera back sooner.”

What to Expect in Season 4

Panchayat Season 4 picks up where Season 3 left off, diving deeper into the chaotic yet heartwarming world of Phalera. The new season centers on a high-stakes panchayat election, with Manju Devi and Kranti Devi vying for the Pradhan’s seat. The rivalry promises a blend of political satire, emotional depth, and the show’s signature humor. Fans can also expect developments in the slow-burning romance between Sachi Ji, Abhishek Tripathi, and Rinke (Sanyika), alongside deeper explorations of supporting characters like Prahalad (Faisal Malik) and Bhushan (Durgesh Kumar).
